Sara Vieira-Silva receives the Antoine Faes Award

Sara-Vieira-Silva is an Adjunct Group Leader at the Institute of Molecular Biology (IMB) and Group Leader at the Institute of Medical Microbiology and Hygiene (IMMH) at the University Medical Center of the Johannes Gutenberg University. Together with her colleagues from the Flemish Institute of Biotechnology (VIB) Leuven and the University of Antwerp, she has been awarded with the Antoine Faes Award for her postdoctoral research on the host-microbiome interaction in health and disease. The prize is awarded every three years for outstanding scientists in the field of biomedical research and comes along with 75.000 €.
